(This tour will partly be conducted on foot.) Visit a family home in Mondesa. Prepare Mahango (local porridge) and sample traditional food. Meet a Herero lady, and find out about the manufacture of her traditional dress and the symbolism behind her three-cornered headdress. Visit a crèche in the informal settlement named DRC (morning tours only). Learn the click vocabulary of the Nama-Damara people and learn about their traditional medicine.

The Living Desert tour is a unique 4x4 adventure drive through the dunes outside Swakopmund. Motor boat or catamaran cruises are operated along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean near Walvis Bay. The boat visits Pelican Point, the tip of the sandbank forming the bay. Seals from a nearby colony play around the boats and pelicans fly along side, offering great photo opportunities. Often turtles and dolphins can be seen. A light lunch including fresh Walvis Bay oysters and sparkling wine will be served. En route back, see an artificial Guano Island from which guano is harvested and pass the deep water Harbour of Walvis Bay.
